Stylish interiors meet fabulous floral design amidst a range of distinguished architecture.
Spring, 2024
Floral design intersects with an enticing group of houses at the 76th annual Southern Pines Garden Club Home & Garden Tour. Come view over 60 fresh flower arrangements throughout stunning houses across Moore County.
From an air of mystery at the Village of Pinehurst estate where the famed “Pinehurst Princess” met a puzzling death in the 1930s, to the charming lavender farm that is now a young military family’s bustling homestead and tearoom on the outskirts of Cameron, the 2024 tour will be a glorious day. From a downtown Southern Pines loft where a once industrial space is now a beautifully crafted home showcasing the owners’ collection of fine art, to the contemporary design, furnishings and color schemes of a modern farmhouse style that evoke warmth and comfort, this tour is quite a collection of “idea” houses. From a century-old Georgian to a fascinating contemporary two-story, architectural buffs will be fully engaged.
Our 2024 Home & Garden Tour presents a range of styles for inspired living in our modern times. Enjoy this year’s collection of houses, gardens, even a working farmstead.
Getting Started on Tour Day
On tour day, 2024, full price tickets were available at all tour stops and online for $30.
We welcomed guests to begin their visits at any home or garden on the tour and asked that guests please bring their e-ticket printed or on a mobile device screen. Wherever guests decided to begin the day, they first checked in and exchanged their e-ticket for an official Tour Passport. The Tour Passport grants access to all of our tour stops from 10am-4pm and serves as a guide along the way. (Note: the e-ticket is only used for the one time, initial check in. From that point, the Passport is required for entry to the tour homes and lunch, if applicable.) If guests also purchased a tour lunch ticket, those tickets were separate and were also scanned at the first check in of the day. The Tour Passport was specially marked for those guests with luncheon access.
We provided a general overview map in the Passport and a printable map that could be downloaded from our site; we also recommended using an online mapping system to plan your route in the order that is most convenient for you. A Google Map of the tour was available here.
Guests were encouraged to use carpooling whenever possible. Parking for groups and carpools was available at the Campbell House and the Weymouth Center. Groups planning to arrive by bus, were asked to email Michelle ahead of the tour to minimize issues or delays while navigating our smaller residential areas.
SPGC directional signs were placed along the tour route. Parking directors at each home were available to answer questions and direct traffic. For most locations, drop off areas and limited parking was available for those needing improved accessibility; we did ask that tour-goers seeking accommodation speak to the parking attendant on site. Please note: some locations on the 2024 tour had known mobility challenges; at least one featured home was accessed by a flight of stairs.
